Optimization of a distribution network for construction materials
MISSION
Our customer offers gypsum boards, ceiling systems, advanced wall materials, and related accessories. The challenge the company faced was to ensure market oriented logistic services and cost efficient order processing. We were asked to provide a roadmap and design for a holistic supply chain concept, a digital decision support system and to optimize the product portfolios of each location based on the key requirements of market oriented logistic costs, service and response time (product availability).

RESULTS
The designed supply chain model and procedure model was marked as reference for the future development of the company. The identified potentials on product portfolios per location lead to immediate actions that improved capability to deliver and increased the rentability per location.
