MISSION

RENA is world market leader for wet chemical production machines in various industries. The mission of STREMLER was to develop and implement a future oriented supply chain concept to expand market leadership with new structures. A high level of service to the market had to be achieved operationally through best delivery capability and reliability to the customer. Ensuring the availability of materials and capacity with high productivity was a central theme of the project.

SOLUTION AND WORK PROCESS

The project framework comprised three production sites and the business areas of material and warehouse management, planning and control, order processing, procurement logistics and distribution, as well as the interface to sales, service and construction.

  • Realization of company growth

    • Development of a RENA production system

    • Development of an online product and variant configuration

  • Proactive resource management by breathing capacity internally and externally

    • Introduction of integrated planning and control of resources and material management

    • Improving process and data quality and optimizing internal order specification

  • Realization of a future-oriented material management concept

  • Introduction of a management system based on key figures

RESULTS

The jointly implemented measures triggered a high level of dynamism at RENA which continues to have an impact besides

  • Increase in delivery capacity and delivery reliability to the customer

  • Significant reduction in inventories in the high double-digit range

  • Significant reduction in manufacturing costs

  • Reduction of lead times by more than half

  • Reduction of delivery times to the customer / market for selected plant types by several weeks
